Kansas City experiences extreme weather. Aside from dangerous summer thunderstorms, there is little to worry about in terms of severe weather. Heavy snowfall and below freezing temperatures are common during the winter months. In the summer, temperatures can hover near 100 degrees Fahrenheit for days at a time.
